This is a puzzle. My 32 bit Enterprise install was fine before lunch. I shut it down and then rebooted some while later and find that every click I do on IE gives this warning. Malware ? I can't find anything and so I thought that restoring to a previous disk image would resolve it for sure.

It doesn't...

Opening IE and just displaying any of my three home tabs (outlook, Bing and Google) and the warning is still there. I'm at a loss with this one. One to look at again tomorrow I think.

Edit... if I accept the warning and say yes nothing happens. But it doesn't go away.

A bit more info on this although the problem is now resolved by means fair and foul :)

I went back to known good disk images and curiously the problem remained and so my only conclusion was that this could be some problem with certificates and the inbuit Adobe Flash player that W8.1 has. Checking the box not to show warnings did stop the problem although its not a fix as such. Even the Adobe site would not check the version of the inbuilt Flash Player and simply returned a "this is preinstalled with W8.1" message.

Anyhow, with only 8 days or so remaining on the licence I have formatted the HDD and brought my Vista recovery image up to date while awaiting W9 to be released for testing.
