    Blurry Text in IE10 Desktop

Text in IE10 Desktop on my machine is blurry.
    Clear Type Tuner doesn't help.

In Windows Explorer and Firefox 11.0 text is fine.

    Any ideas?

Firstly, clear cash/cookies and all ie history and see if it works.

Does IE10 have an option for adjusting font sizes or enlarging web pages (control+ for example)? I don't use it myself so can't check.

It has been a recurring problem in IE since IE7.
Here's Microsoft's approach to the problem in IE9:
Fonts appear blurry in Internet Explorer 9
    IE8:
Blurry screen after downloading Internet Explorer 8 - Microsoft Answers
    IE7:
Web fonts may appear blurry with Internet Explorer 7

My advice is to try another browser. You can find cutting edge betas of Firefox, Opera and Chrome which work well with Win8 with automatic updates, so your browser is always the latest build. These betas will certainly have been tested with the CP and DP versions of Win8.

On a website I built, Google stats puts visitor browser use as follows:

    Firefox 49%
    Chrome 33%
    any IE 12%
    Safari 6%

So Chrome has made large inroads by the looks of it. Must say I use Chrome myself. IE 10 is disabled in my Win 8

Sorry, but when I uploaded the screenshots and previwed the post they end up looking nothing like the originals I captured.

Yes. In IE10 Desktop version it works much the same as IE9.

With my video card & monitor, text in Firefox 11.0 (and Nightly x64 v14.0a) on Windows 8 CP looks pretty much identical to how it looks on Windows 7, so no problem there.
FF 11.0 is my main browser in Windows 8.

I'll have another look when AMD release another version of Catalyst for Win 8 and see if there is any improvement in IE10 rendering.

I can confirm that M$ did NOT fix the blurry text problem. This is absolutely UNACCEPTABLE for an OS to be released with a bug that was known long before RTM. There could be legitimate reasons for this, though. The leaked version might not be the real RTM. It could also be a driver issue. ...

Hi, I recently got a new computer that has windows 8, and I am having some issues with the icons. Some of them are perfectly fine but some of them are really blurry/fuzzy.
