IE11 tabs and IE11 "preview tabs" out of sync.

Only just noticed this but have confirmed other PC's exhibit this same behaviour. The tabs on the top line of the browser don't match the order of the preview tabs at the bottom. As you open other sites and open and close tabs sometimes they do manage to line up and sometimes not......

Anyone else noticed this ?

IE11. Both my W8.1x64 and W8.1x86 Enterprise behave exactly the same. I have IE set up with three tabs to open when IE is started. Home page is "Outlook" followed by Bing and Google. If I close all but one tab and then add extra tabs they do seem to be in the correct order but it is easy to confuse it by just opening different sites on those tabs.

My homepages are outlook, Bing and MSN (Newer Version; not classic) and the previews display like how the tabs do... Maybe clearing the cache would help??

Yes, it does but you can switch the tabs, re-load the page and it will show in correct order.

Lol, so its not just me then :)

Daxter... I hadn't but I have now. Full browser clean, then full disk clean of everything tickable including system file cleanup. Ran a DNS flush and rebooted router.

First opening of IE and the three tabs were correct, Outlook email, Bing and Google. I then press <ALT> to open the file menu and import cookie file. Close browser and reopen and tabs are mixed up.

But at least it seems to be not just me with this issue.

I'm not sure... but I think I can see a weird kind of logical pattern to this.

I open IE and the tabs are correct. As I open new sites, for example clicking the notifier email for this thread, then that site opens as a new window (and hence tab) immediately to the right of "outlook", my home page. In the preview tabs at the bottom it gets tacked on at the extreme right though.

Google, which is one of my three opening tabs always stays to the right of my homepage tab in the preview even though on the top line its pushed to the extreme right if its not used to browse for anything.
