Difficulty in locating folder to back up Mail

I have read with interest the tutorial 'How to Backup Your "Mail" App Email Messages in Windows 8 and 8.1' at Mail App - Backup Email Messages in Windows 8. Unlike the path in the screenshot that ends with 'Mail', however, mine ends with 'People' as shown here: C:\Users\Bob\AppData\Local\Packages\microsoft.windowscommunicationsapps_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\Ind exed\LiveComm\a35e460a32935d68\120712-0049\People. There does not appear to be a folder named 'Mail'.
Installed on my PC is Windows Live Mail 2012, Version 2012 (Build 16.4.3528.0331)
I should be most grateful for someone's assistance in this matter.

    Hello Bob,

For "Windows Live Mail" instead of the modern "Mail" app, you could use this below to back up your email messages.

    Hope this helps,

I thank you for your swift reply. It was because 'File>Export email>Email messages' did not appear to work properly for me, at least, I was looking for another method or route. I have now stumbled on what is the same method I used when I had Outlook Express: 'File>Options>Mail>Advanced>Maintenance>Store Folder gave me the route to C:\Users\Bob\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Live Mail, the location of my emails. Now I can copy these to a backup folder, then pick up the tutorial at Step 3. The information about the use of the asterisk to view the content of each email is invaluable.

    Hi there

For Windows 7 (also works for OUTLOOK 2010) - 32 bit only though you can use the Ms program pfbkup.exe

Download Outlook 2007/2003/2002 Add-in: Personal Folders Backup from Official Microsoft Download Center

This is an ADDIN you'll see in the addins - It doesn't say Outlook 2010 but it works (32 bit as I've said).

Windows 8 / 8/1 users it's much simpler - if you are using IMAP then copy your email to the local folder and that's located in Documents==>outlook files You can exiting outlook simply copy it to wherever you like as backup. Simply OPEN it again to retrieve backed up mail,.

(Guess there are a FEW things on Windows 8/8.1 that DO work better !!!).

    Cheers
