IE 11 - Close All Tabs - Close Current Tab

I am running Win8.1 and IE 11. When I have multiple tabs open and click the X in the upper right hand corner I get an option that asks me if I want to CLOSE ALL TABS - CLOSE CURRENT TAB. I always want to close just one tab. How can I suppress the display of the Close All Tabs - Close Current Tab question and still be able to close just one tab? Doing research I found a lot questions addressing similar issues, but none that supplies an answer to my problem.

    Hello PapaK,

The X in the upper right corned of IE11 is to close IE11 itself. If you have more than one tab open, it will ask if you want to close all tabs or not by default. If not, then IE11 will not close. If you turn off this warning, then IE11 will close along with all tabs without getting "Do you want to close all tabs or the current tab?".

Internet Explorer - "Always close all tabs" Warning - Turn On or Off - Windows 7 Help Forums

If you just wanted to close one tab, then you can click on the X in the upper right corner of the specific tab you want to close. You'll only see the X on the tab if it's open, or if you hover the pointer over the tab.

    Hope this helps,
    Shawn

Just click the X on the tab you want to close.
