After deleting history and cookies on IE 10 can't sign in

I can't sign into websites that I've been using for years after I deleted browsing history and cookies. I had also changed my cookie handling to it's strictest setting but after I had the problem I changed it to the least strict setting and put in "always allow cookies" from the two sites that I visit most often and rebooted and still have the problem. I am using IE 10 with windows 8, also I have very limited knowledge of computers and the problem may be related to something other than deleting history/cookies and cookies handling would very much appreciate any help I can get.

If you deleted cookies then your stored passwords probably got deleted to.

What happens when you go to the web sites? DO they ask for a userid and password and what happens when you enter them?

One says id/pswd incorrect the other gives no msg but won't allow me to sign in.
