Solved Email problems

I'm quitting Time Warner (Roadrunner) and have switched to gmail. I tried Windows Live and Outlook and I can move an important message to a folder but when I go to the folder it's gone! It is imperative that I can save certain important emails. Can this be fixed? If so... how? Thanks.:confused:

It's software, no? Anyway I solved the problem. In case anyone else has the problem. You have to go to Gmail BEFORE you add it to Outlook or Live... erase all the labels (folders) and then add to Outlook or live.
