When using IE10 Metro one can click on the Push Pin and a link to the web page you are on
is placed onto the Start Screen.

Where on the hard drive is that shortcut located?

I found where those links reside.

c:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\RoamingTiles\12829268000.lnk
c:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\RoamingTiles\8215062560.lnk

But there is nothing you can do with them.
Properties of the .lnk are blank.
"Change Icon" allows you to make any change you want, and then simply ignores your change.

Hard coded? into the link is the following text, which I assume is used to display the ubiquitous "e".

m s - a p p x : / / / i m a g e s / P i n n e d S i t e S m a l l L o g o . p n g
m s - a p p x : / / / i m a g e s / P i n n e d S i t e L o g o . p n g

Abandoning this tweak, onto the next.
