problem with facebook and internet explorer

hi guys and girls
i have a problem with facebook and internet explorer the problem is i'm using wifi on my laptop which has windows 8 installed on it and when i launch IE from the live tile it connects to google with no problem but when i go to facebook it just sits there lookin stupid by not doin anything yet when i try to connect to my friends facebook theres no problem but thats when i start chrome and internet explorer from the desktop and when i go from the live tile on the start screen it has no problem with my friends facebook account it just seems to have a problem with mine so the question is has anyone got any idea why this is any help will be greatly appreciated

There has always been an issue with the IE Metro tile app. Microsoft has no plans to fix. You would be better using a different web browser from the Desktop mode.
