lost firefox and chrome internet and system restore

My Norton trial that came preloaded in my HP laptop was about to expire so I removed it using the Symantec Norton tool remover.
Now I only have IE 11. The Firefox and Chrome browsers won't connect to the internet. I tried system restore a couple of times but that's not working either.

I would like someone to help me get my browsers back. I ran the adware removal tool, AVG scan and malwarebytes. Everything is clean.

I downloaded Norton free trial and presto, I have my browser's back. Isn't that something.

That's vicious. Holding my browsers for ransom.

Yeah. It also cut my internet speed from 15 Mbps to 5 Mbps. I tried to download the Maxthon browser and a popup said my internet was too unsteady to download.
The problem began when I tried to remove Norton from regedit and was unable to do so. That's when I found the Norton removable tool. I think this time I'll just leave it there.

Isn't there some setting in Norton not to interfere with browsers. FF is now safe enough to handle it on it's own.

I don't know anything about that. They pay HP to include their software into my computer. I don't even want it. I'm happy with the free AVG.
Now I did download the Maxthon browser with no problems. Nice browser.

Well, the Norton trial is finished. I uninstalled the program an now I've lost all 3 of my browsers. I used the Norton Removal Tool three times and once in Safe Mode. Didn't help me at all.

OK. I turned off the Windows Firewall and I have the internet again. :0
