Running 8.1, IE 11. I regularly get a "Runtime Error! Program: C:\ Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe R6025 - pure virtual call" shown in a Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library window. This occurs regularly when I visit the Walmart and PC magazine websites. Doing a search for a solution to the runtime error brings up ads for curing the problem from "wiki.error.com" and others, which I am very leery of using. Suggestions for solving this problem appreciated. My 8.1 upgrade is new and all updates in place, however the error appeared prior to the upgrade. Thanks.
Since initial post above, I have run Malwarebytes, which found three 'pups', as it called them, that are unwanted programs. It dealt with them. Restarted and checked and found that WalMart site still brought up the same error message r6025, etc. It does the same routine twice, without any input from me, IE shuts down, but still leaves an active window of WalMart site, which works just fine. Puzzled, to say the least. An inconvenience at most at this point, but still don't like strange things going on. Roving
