    IE10 Metro Favorites?

I feel like an idiot, but where can I find the "Favorites" in IE10 Metro?

I'm not talking about sites pinned to the taskbar or desktop... or "Frequently used sides"... but my list of favorites.

I can't see how to add anything to favorites, how to see favorites, etc.

And it doesn't seem to share favorites with Desktop IE10... in fact, they don't seem to share much of anything (cookies, logins, favorites, ...)

It doesn't have a favorites per say, what it does have is most frequent sites visited and pinned sites which is close too what favorites once was. You just hit the push pin icon on the right to pin sites to it "picture below".

You need to click at the bottom of the page where you type the URL's. When you click there the frequently visited sites and your pinned sites will show up at which point you can click on them.

It's better in a way because it shows you a larger icon which is easier to find compared to the very small icons used for the old favorites list. A right click on the browser also gets you recent sites which is handy "second picture".

I wonder how this is going to work - 1358 last time I counted.

A 'pinned site' says to me a site that I've pinned to the taskbar or start screen. Which isn't what I want.

I want "Favorites". Why would they change a name that everyone knows and that every browser users?

It's completely unintuitive to me. I want "Favorite", and a "+" icon that would allow me to add the current page to favorites. And it needs named folders so I can categorize them, because I'm going to have way more than a dozen (I have over a hundred easily, in my Win7 Desktop IE9).

You are complaining to the wrong person. You asked a question and I answered it best I could, I even took the time to post some screen shots.

I had nothing to do with inventing the new Metro interface, I was only showing you how it worked because you seemed confused about that.

This is going to be a genuine problem. I have no idea how I will store my 1358 favorites in IE10. I am sure I could weed them out a bit, but even then I will probably still have well over 500. The worst part is, when you 'pin' a URL, it gets pinned to the start menu - not to IE10. That's not the place where I want my URLs.

You would think they would have a better way to add the favorites to the Metro IE but it's probably not even complete yet.

I'm also wondering how the HTML video's will work in this new Metro IE since it won't support any type of flash player.

I guess we just have to wait and see how it is in the future builds.

I want a normal Favorites menu back as well. Right now I do not use Metro IE because of this (and because right click just doesnt work if you're in touch mode as well)

Cursor over the screen shot for an explanation.

It may be that you have so many recently visited sites that you can't see your favorites. I deleted most of my recently visited sites so you can see my favorites in the screen shot. Notice the scroll bar above the URL. If you scroll over to the right you should see your favorites. To add a favorite click on the pin icon. You will have the option of pinning the site to the start page or your favorites.
