I have not been able to use IE 11 with my windows 8.1 computer the way I want to. It will not allow me to touch an image and copy or save image to my harddrive. It won't even give me the option to copy or save the image when I right click on my mouse. So in order to do this, I have to go to my desktop program and open up internet browser there.....and then that browser allows me to do it......but when I'm on my apps page and click on internet explorer from the apps page, that internet browser will not let me copy and save images or text.......really weird. Is there a setting somewhere that I can change for that browser?

Welcome to the forum, why don't you change the setting so that you always launch IE in desktop mode, that way you'll always have the settings you want.

Off hand I can't remember where the settings are but will post back when I find them, unless one of the experts steps in before I get back.

Edit: Think I've found it, go into Internet Properties and then into the Program tab and at the top Opening Internet Explorer click on the down arrow under the wording Choose how you open links: pick the one Always in Internet Explorer on the Desktop.

Hopefully that will solve your problems. :)

Why can't i do this in IE 11 through the apps? Is this not doable? Should be able to save a photo either way.....not just thru desktop. ? That's tacky. lol. There has to be a setting to make this possible. ?

My computer is brand new. LOL. There is a way to do this. Maybe someone on here can give me instructions. Thanks everyone for your input.

Just because it's new doesn't mean it isn't broke.

How can you be so sure it's not broke? You should be able to copy or save an image by default as seen below. Did you change any settings in either IEs? If so, change settings back to default. It would help to fill out your system specs and keep them current as well.
