That's pretty 'cheap', mine runs about 250MB.

Just to let you FF users know > In the latest update I noticed there's one that affects FF and MS explains a work around: Certain HTTPS sites cannot be opened in Firefox after you install update 2965142 in Windows 8.1 or Windows RT 8.1

I find them to be especially annoying in IE, (shown below), depending on your native 'MouseHoverDelay' settings!

    Attachment 48289

Well, in Firefox 31.0 and up, they can be easily disabled.
Simply type 'about:config' (without the quotes) into Firefox's address bar and press Enter, click on the "I'll be careful, I promise" dialog,
then navigate to 'browser.chrome.toolbar_tips' and toggle its value to False.

(Note: this will hide some elements in web pages that do not provide descriptions)
    Correction:
I had forgotten that 'MouseHoverTime' in HKCU\Control Panel\Mouse also governs IE.
You can adjust 'MouseHoverTime' in the same manner but it will apply throughout Windows Explorer.

To those with RAM Issues: We haven't fixed the RAM Leakage problem yet. On the support website there are fixes, But this is most likely due to add ons and other apps/software/windows open and running.

    'Piggyback' Tabs

Mount and open working tabs inside of 'Home' tabs in Firefox:

Simply open a new tab and type chrome://browser/content and press Enter

Use your Bookmarks in any of the 'Home' or expanded tabs
Bookmark the page - the bookmark title will be 'null'.
(Kind of a simple version of 'Tab Groups')

    Firefox 31 Review & Rating | PCMag.com

With this redesign, Firefox becomes the best-looking browser around: It's clean, functional, and more customizable than the rest. Mozilla's browser also offers the best combination of performance and support for new Web standards, with excellent graphics hardware acceleration, low memory use, privacy, and support for a ton of emerging Web technologies. All of this makes Firefox worthy of reclaiming the PCMag.com Editors' Choice for Windows Web browsers it enjoyed for several years before Chrome's recent reign.

2 tabs, Adblock Plus, NoScript and Colorzilla........... 290MB used. Slow, hesitation between every site visited. Getting pretty impatient with it.

Well, memory is supposed to be used, not to stay empty, tabs loaded in memory is good part, alternatives are either reload the page every time you switch tabs or to be written to disk, guess which one is fastest ? Amount of memory used for each tab depends on it's content not on browser used.
Opening a new site (I guess your "hesitation ") is largely dependent of few factors. Internet speed and ping, size of downloaded page, amount of filters like some add-ons, security software like AV and security built in the browser. If you feel it's too slow with your system you should look into some of your add-ons, Bitdefender or ping.
