Solved Syncing IE 11, like Chrome and Firefox?

Yes, if you are on Windows 8.1 and are signed in with your Microsoft account to the PC... It just goes automatically if you are "trusted" ie the Microsoft acct has been verified with a mobile phone through both of the computers you are trying to sync...

Wow, okay that's cool. Now, second part: all my bookmarks are currently on a Windows 7 machine. Is there a way to sync from Windows 7? Or should I manually tranfer to Windows 8 rig?

Yup if you have a USB flash drive and are updated to IE 9, 10, or 11 on the Win7 rig. Just click the favourites star, then click the little drop down arrow beside "Add to favourites", click "Import/Export" then click through the wizard "export to a file" then select "favourites" only, not the other stuff, and then save the file (.htm) to your USB flash drive.

Now get on the new machine, do the same thing but instead of clicking "export to a file" click "import from a file" , import it and you're done!

I switched back to Firefox, so no need to worry about this complicated issue any longer.
