According to outlook.com, (almost) everything is JUNK!

Well, that has been the case with me.

When I switched from Gmail to outlook.com, I absolutely loved everything that I saw. I still use Outlook.com as my primary account. I still feel it is much superior to Gmail or any other email service.

The only thing that I find irritating is that outlook.com automatically moves a lot (and I mean a LOT) of my emails to junk, especially the ones that are sent to verify my email address when I subscribe to various services.

Is there anyway to tell outlook.com to not move any of my emails to junk? And it automatically deletes anything in the junk folder after 10 days. So, if any important mail arrives in the junk and I don't check it within 10 days, its gone!

    Anybody else faced this?

I am only just getting used to outlook online, I only just got familiar with Hotmail. I am slow. I am forced to use this process for certain community projects I am involved with.

What I do know, is "right clicking" on emails works and gives some options.
Going into settings has more options than I would of thought, especially with rules and junk settings.

There is an option somewhere to prevent moving junk to junk box. This would give you two options

    1. Dont move junk to junk folder and right click and mark junk as junk as it comes in.
    2. Allow junk to automatically go to junk, and mark good mail as not junk.

I suppose it depends on what you get more of.
There is also an option to "retrieve deleted mail" but you need to set it up.
Playing in here for a while, sending yourself mail from another account to test and tweak may prove fruitful.

Well, I wish I had this kind of option, but unfortunately this is what I got:

maybe try find out if "wildcards" can be used in filters? Then create a rule allowing all mail to go into inbox, like I said, I'll have a play in a few hours mate See if we cant help you (and I)

Ok, so here I have managed to create a filter rule:

I hope now I should get everything in the inbox. But if the junk filters are applied after the manual filter, then this should not work.

No problem. Just so you know.

I created a rule to test:

RULE: move all mail to "saved Folder" (or folder of your choice) with @ in the address

I tested it with spam mail I have in my junk email folder, it appears to work.
This way if I ever need to receive all mail, including "junk/spam" it can do so.

I tested this with many configurations and as long as it has the @ symbol which of course an address has to, it gets diverted to my specified mail folder

Hey, thanks again for the reply, but it seems like you have made the rules slightly differently than I have. Can you post the exact steps with some screenshots?
