Solved Pop up problems? Help?

Short and to the point I uninstalled the factory norton program and installed avast in its place it seemed to be working fine but a week or so now I have random pop ups all over the place certain words are highlighted and when hovered over opens yet a another pop up. I've closed 5 as I'm trying to write this! all advertisements and junk like oh look here's more great deals that you weren't looking for anyway. How do I stop this?

do u mean on ur browser ? if so what browser do u use?

If it's on your browser only, it might be a virus or hack on your browser.. I'd probably reinstall the browser and see if that helps solve the issue. If it's on your computer, run a full system scan with your anti-virus.. Also run any adware/malware program scans. If all that doesn't work, it may be time to Refresh your system..

Yes just browser and I'm using chrome.

They are could be just popup ads.

Do a Full boot time scan with Avast to check for viruses though.

Got it finally I think. It was BrowseSmart though I have no clue how it got there in the first place.
