    Strange issues with IE11?

Anybody having issues where IE11 makes your screen flicker black or seems to be using a lot of CPU power?

For some strange reason IE11 has been acting strange - either causing screen flickering, causing high CPU usage, or losing focus. And what I mean by losing focus - yesterday where posting here, I was trying to link a word by clicking the link icon (blue globe), and it simply wouldn't work. Had to manually link the sentence. Anyway closing out of IE and re-opening it fixed the issue. BTW this isn't the first time this happened this week.

Bottom line is IE11 is issuing some strange behavior lately. Anyone else seeing this?

    Thanks.

Have you already tried to reset your internet explorer 11 to defaults settings?

How to reset Internet Explorer 11 to default settings

Resetting Internet Explorer to default settings, involves:
    • The removal installed toolbars and add-ons.
    • Default privacy, security and web browser settings.
    • Restoration of default browser behaviour (tabbed browsing , search settings..etc)

    The procedure is as follows:
    • Start Internet Explorer 11 on your computer.
    • Click on Tools > Internet Options.
    • Go to the Advanced tab and click on Reset

    • Check "Delete personal settings" and click on Reset.

    • Restart your PC for the changes to take effect.

    Thanks for replying.

Yes. And I'm already familiar with those settings.

    Hi syngus21,

I have not experienced the issue you are describing. Moreover, looking at you specs tells me you are a well-rounded Win 8.1 user. With that said, does this issue only occur when using IE11? Have you tested using a different browser without issue?

Yeah thanks, I kind of know what I'm doing

That said, I only exclusively use Internet Explorer. Anyway I just reset my RAM back to it's default timing settings so we'll see if that's what's causing my issues. I don't think so, but you never know

BTW I just had another issue with IE and seven forums as posted here - Windows 7 Help Forums so I'm not sure what the heck is going on now

Maybe you need to eliminate all overclocking for a simple test. Those types of things are important to know up front. Let us know how you make out and good luck to you.

I'm not overclocking per se, I just changed my RAM timings from 9-10-9-27-2T to 9-9-9-24-1T. It may seem a minor change, but it could have consequences if the RAM can't handle to slightly tighter timings. Anyway as I said, I doubt that was the issue, but it doesn't hurt to be sure.

BTW I fixed my sevenforums issue by simply logging out and logging back in again. Don't know what that was about

Oh, don't let my low post count fool you; I just don't post a lot here, my hangout/home is sevenforums, same name

Anyway my post is mainly questionary (my word)
