I know this will be an easy fix but for the life of me I cannot get my computer to remember passwords. Driving me nuts to have to log into each site every single time I visit. Just purchased this laptop less than a week ago. It's HP running windows 8. If anyone could please help me out I would really appreciate it. Thanks

Do you use a 3rd party Antivirus? Most of them these days have a vault that will log into a site for you via Autofill.
There are probably independent programs that do it also, just be careful who you get one from. Beware of backdoors.

I think 8 uses Credential Manager (Winkey+S type Credential Manager)

Here is a little info on the stock Vault. After a little reading I found that it works for IE specifically.

Good luck !

If you don't mind spending a little money RoboForm is an excellent password program. It works for internet, and internal programs. Good encryption cloud storage and on all your devices for one subscription. I've been using it for about 8 years or so started with it when it was free Couldn't live with out it now.

I think Internet options//content/Autocomplete settings/select user names and passwords. This might do it for you. I keep mine turned off as I don't want my browser cache maintaining these passwords. I prefer to a secure place to keep them.
