IE11 looks fuzzy

So I just did a clean install 8 upgraded to windows 8.1, I'm pretty sure I got all my drivers installed.

but for some reason IE11 looks fuzzy.

specs:
Lenovo y580
i7-3610QM
NVIDIA GeForce GTX660M 2GB
16GB Ram

You're not alone in experiencing this. IE has changed the font rendering. It's not a bug, it's a feature! Search the forum here or google it for more info.

By default IE11 uses software rendering to draw everything on the screen. Since you have a dedicated GPU it would make more sense to use hardware rendering. A setting is available in IE11 to change this behavior.

Note: You must restart your computer for the setting to take effect.

^^^ Wish it could have been that easy... btw, got 4 IE's here, all had GPU rendering as default upon installation.

This worked for me.. I don't usually use IE at all. However, I noticed this setting and tried it, I saw an immediate difference.

I think the real question is why does Microsoft choose to drop support for ClearType fonts in IE11. I mean its not like the browser is the most popular around world... :confused: :)
