Need suggestion on pop mail client for Windows 8.1

I'm getting tired of using web mail to read/send email. I need advice on the best/easiest to use, email client for Windows 8.1. I can't use the Microsoft apps because I'm on a local account and don't want to change.

An email client that also would read usenet would be a plus.

Mozilla Thunderbird is very good. It also supports Usenet.

Thanks, I've used Thunderbird with Windows 7 glad to find out it works in 8.1.

I got all email accounts working but can't seem to get usenet to work. Thunderbird don't seem to ask for the password, that might be the problem.

I don't use newsgroups so I can't be sure about this. However, the pictures below may help.

I can't get thunderbird to send or receive email since I restored my computer after a computer crash

I have used the free version of eMclient for a couple of years now and it is running fine on my Win 8.1-64-bit laptop

I haven't had any problems with the E-Mail Client that comes with the SeaMonkey browser.
