Disable Preview in win8 mail app?

Is their a way to disable the preview pane in the Mail app in win8?
My thinking for this is for security reasons..virus etc.
I havent upgraded to 8.1 yet still have 8.
Ive done a search but only come up with preview in file explorer not mail..any help would be great.

bump, looking for this answer for this as well, just installed 8, then 8.1 and not liking the preview pane as all.
