Windows 8.1
I'm getting e-mails but the notification doesn't arrive for several minutes.
With Windows 7 I used POP3. For Windows 8.1 I was instructed by my ISP to use IMAP. Does that have anything to do with the problem? My ISP is Fairpoint.
I increased the server timeout to 2 minutes---no change in the problem.
