Error Screen : Web Browser

One or more ActiveX controls could not be displayed because either:

1) Your current security settings prohibit running ActiveX controls on this page, or
2) You have blocked a publisher of one of the controls.

As a result, the page might not display correctly. It pops up when neither brower's are open. I use Firefox or Chrome, because my IE will not work period.

While posting should I update to 8.1 ? I'm using 8

Sorry for the difficulty but something was corrupted at some point. IE should work perfectly.
Both desktop IE and metro IE should work fine or as you configure it to work.
Adjustments should be made using the desktop version of IE from Alt X and Internet Options.
Check the appropriate tabs and the sub settings.

On the other hand, others will not use IE so, ... keep us updated, others will post.

Updating to 8.1 is up to you, opinions vary. I like it better than 8.
Are you familiar with 3rd party imaging software?

I'm sorry that I may not be much help, but for months when I click on the IE icon (blue E) It tries to open and a screen opens saying it is not working properly and say close program.
