Please Help - Windows 8 Mail

Please, please, please can someone help me.

I have recently purchased a new computer running Windows 8.

I am trying to transfer my personal email folders from my old computer, which is a Windows 7 computer, running Windows Live Mail 2011, to the new email system in Windows 8.

I am not a computer expert at all, and I have tried and tried and tried a way to do this, but to no avail.

Please can someone help me, as these folders contain important emails, which I need to transfer.

Did you try Windows Easy Transfer in the Control Panel? WinKey/X > Control Panel > Windows Easy Transfer

Just to let you know, I'm working on a way to transfer emails manually. This comes up quite often.
