Enable or Disable Microsoft password save dialog?

I log on my machine using MS login. That's fine. But I wish to disable the dialog asking to save the password when logging in to web sites. I have LastPass set up with my preferences and have no wish to start over with a new password manager.

I didn't find it in the tutorials.. which does not mean it isn't there.

    This MIGHT work:

Internet Explorer 11 Store your Passwords - Turn On or Off

EDIT>You didn't mention what browser you use.

I saw that from a search. It has no effect on Waterfox. The only way to bypass is if I autologin via cookie or LastPass Of course that doesn't save me from getting the dialog on the initial login.

The issue is strange because I found the same question in web search. The machine was an HP and the fix was open Web Management from Control Panel and disable it. My Web Management thingy has no checkbox to enable/disable it. Something is funky in Redmond I think.

    Thank you.

I'll Google Waterfox & see if I can find anything.

    Hi MilesAhead,

Just an FYI that I sometimes get prompted by IE to save passwords (and such) and I have all auto complete functions turned off. It just seems to issue an ugly reminder from time-to-time and I don't know why. Now I know you are using your own password manager but I'm not sure that is going to stop IE from "reminding you." Just consider this as food for thought and good luck!

@my2cents thanks for the proviso. But I don't use IE unless it's not optional.

There should be some way to disable the dialog without reverting to local login. Although I guess there's no reason not to go local. I'll see how it goes.
