    Google Search and Windows 8.1

Is anyone else experiencing same problem...............

Yesterday I updated my laptop to Windows 8.1. On using Google to search, the result was not as expected. All text is shown in a single column one word on top of the other!!! I've checked and installed 8.1 updates and I've reset IE11 but still the same. No matter what I search for, text is shown one word on top of the other. I've tried Bing and as expected, being a Microsoft product, this displays correctly

    Hi there
Video settings ? - Java / Net updates?

My only issue with IE11 is the BACK button needs to be pressed twice after Google and some other search engine queries to get back to the query list.

    Cheers

Looking absolutely horrible, I don't know what they have done or why, may be it's another way to promote "B".

After the update to 8.1 my chrome text was blurred and not scaling correctly. In display properties, you can find a slider to "make text and other items smaller or larger". Simply changing the slider and changing it back fixed it for me.

IronSheik.... Going to display the "change the size of all items" slider (smaller ->larger) is grey scaled out so can't do this. Only option is to tick check box "let me choose the scaling level for all my displays" . This doesn't make any difference either

    Resolved...................

In IE11 go to Tools/Compatibility View Settings and uncheck "Display intranet sites in Compatibility View" and "Use Microsoft compatibility lists". Google search now displaying results correctly

Google Search Provider in Browsers & Mail
Anyone else noticed that IE10 doesn't allow Google to be installed as a Search Provider (despite it being arguably the world's most well-used search engine)? The list, part of which is shown below, is in alphabetical order and, as you can see, Google is not mentioned. I should point out that this...
