Internet Explorer 10 Problem

Hi

Yesterday I put together my new HP Pavilion 500 PC. It had the Windows 8, with that new "Start" menu screen, with it's own IE version, and your usual Desktop screen with it's own IE version.

Both worked fluently. I was trying to download Black Mesa, a version of the Half Life game, while running the process the common Optimizer Pro virus, which disrupted my browsing experience, latched on and got downloaded, so I halted to the process. I uninstalled Optimizer Pro and every browser on my computer went back to normal (as in, Google Chrome and the Desktop IE 10) but the Start Menu IE did not work, it always displays the "This Page Cannot Be Displayed", and offers to reset connections, which I tried many times but it did not seem to work, even though my wireless connection works outstandingly.

I need help.

Thank you.

Using a normal uninstall for Optimizer Pro won't work , it doesn't give up that easily.....you have portions of it left behind causing issues....it's trying to get you to pay money for your PC to be 'fixed' after all....
