IE10 Hijacked by Adware site - Help Needed

    Hi All
I have had an issue recently whereby my IE has been hijacked by an adware site. The site URL is:

    http://adserver.adreactor.com/servle...ohn-the-one%2F

My homepage is set to Google.co.uk but this is being ignored when logging into IE.

I have tried disabling IE under Windows 8 and then re-enabling it. This appeared to resolve the issue the first time I logged back in. However when I logged back in for the second time it re-appeared. I have tried searching the whole drive for indications of this url but can find nothing. Any help would be appreciated in removing it completely.

Look forward to hearing from anyone who can help.

    Tony

    Hi Shawn

Thanks for the quick response. I have tried what you suggested and reset my homepage to Google.co.uk. However this is again being ignored and I am now getting this url appearing:

    Mysearchdial Search=

    Any further suggestions?

    Tony

Have you installed any new software on your PC recently? It sounds like you might have downloaded an installer that's bundled with unwanted software. Unfortunately, that's becoming more common.

Here's a guide to removing the MySearchDial malware: -

    Remove Start.MySearchDial.com hijack (Removal Guide)

Also, if all of this happened around the same time, go to Programs & Features and sort by install date. Look for the programs installed around the date that this started happening and see if there are things there that you don't recognise.

    Hi
Many thanks for the prompt feedback. I recently installed some Samsung Laser Printer drivers and am normally good at spotting adware prompts. I was obviously having a bad hair day. This appears to have resolved my issue.
    Many thanks for your help.
