I have my Outlook Email set up through Google Chrome as a short cut on the desktop. It opens up fine and I can see all my folders and can see and adjust my contacts as needed. But when I click the mail tile on the start screen up comes my outlook Email account ok but very much reduced as to what I can do with it. I can send and receive Emails but don't have access to my contacts. Is this normal or can it be adjusted to work like my full one on my desktop? Can it be synchronized so the both work the same? My main log in to my laptop is with the same outlook Email address.

Thanks
I hope somebody can advise me

Thanks robinb9 for your reply.

I opened up my outlook.com Email through the ie browser with the same results as before.

Since my first post I was talking to somebody else over the same issue who has a Gmail account in windows 8. They have the same issues being unable to list or do anything with contacts opened up from the startscreen tile. I also have a Nexus 7 that also wont list my contacts. If you open up outlook.com through the startscreen tile there is no button or tab you can click to try and get your address book. Do you think I am doing something wrong or is this the way the system works and we are stuck with it?

Look forward to hear your reply

Looks like stuck with it, but you might be able to download and instal Windows live mail, set it up with your gmail account and see if your gmail contacts come in
WLM is inside windows live essentials so when you go to install the program just check windows live mail
