Windows 8 mail 'move' greyed out

Strange problem - the 'move to' icon (after rt click) is greyed out. If I start Windows live mail and view emails ,I can use this Move to .So, partial solution, but under each email there are four identical entries with identical times of receipt in each of the email addresses and today's mails are not shown. Also each email supplier is listed twice. Any bright ideas?
