I was wondering if there was a way to disable the Metro IE without disabling Metro?
Is it possible?
EDIT: Oh, nevermind. Found the tutorial: http://www.eightforums.com/tutorials/2521-internet-explorer-10-metro-use-desktop-view.html

However, is there a way to physically remove it completely? I don't need that 'immersive' browser taking up HD space.

EDIT 2:
Okay, I have tried this way so far:
First go to C:/Program Files/Internet Explorer (or similar) and create a shortcut to iexplore on the desktop.
Then used this to create a live tile of my new shortcut.
Doesn't seem to work.

Theres another way- I think IE can act immersive only if its the default browser. So as a workaround, install chrome or some other browser, set it as default, then unpin the IE tile. Now pin it back, clicking on it should launch the desktop IE.

Removing immersive IE completely may not be the best idea right now, lets wait till the beta is out and the picture is clearer.

Don't think anyone has any idea yet how deep and tied into the system it may be needed for.

Also, how much HDD space could it be taking up? I mean...really.

Is your main HDD limited to MB's in capacity?

Okay, I guess that was more of a throwaway comment that could have gone without mention...
But I'd still be interested in a tile workaround that would run the explorer version of IE without the Metro version... I've had no such luck as of yet.

Avalon, you did not read my post #2.
Sorry, I'll double check. Thanks.
I thought my Chrome was already the default browser... I guess not.

EDIT: Seems Chrome IS my default browser, but IE still won't behave.
