I have a Asus VivioTab ME400C. I have the Mail app partially working but cannot receive from my Plusnet account. I can send ok & can both receive and send from my Gmail account. The question is how do I enter the settings for the Plusnet account like SMTP.

Thanks for the link for the guide. Enabled me to fix it ok.

As for liking the Asus, yes I do. The hardware looks good but Windows 8 has a long way to go to be "User Friendly" as they say.
Hopefully 8.1 will fix. There is a lot of miss information in some of the reviews on the net. The help file not that helpful.

I have seen so far -: USB works ok with special adapter to pen drives & SD Adapters.

SDD card works ok but can hide. Windows will give it the same drive letter as a disconnected network drive and it is therefore.
invisible.

Some reports say system image is unavailable. It is. I have made two system images on the SDD card. A third wants to include the recovery partition. Why?

I have written the recovery partition on a USB pen drive ok. But have not the confidence to test it. I would like the copy it to a DVD for safe keeping but is it format sensitive? I cannot get it to write to a network DVD drive.

I managed to get Microsoft Autoroute installed ok. But had to convert the DVD to an ISO file, then mount it on to the SDD card.
Then got the GPS Chip to work to give the location.

Hope this helps make a decision.

I own the asus windows 8 tablet also, I have gotten it to connect micro to VGA on a projector with no problems. I also purchased a micro USB cable and a cover at amazon. The only thing I do not like is the asus is 64 gigs but out of the box I got 34 gigs, why advertise 64 gigs if you do not get it? With installing office 2013 pro and a few more apps and all the security updates I am down to 29 Gigs. If I want to put 8.1 final on here (oh btw 10 gigs is held out for recovery) since it requires 16 gigs, I will wind up with 13 gigs left which is a bummer for installing new security updates and limiters me to more apps and programs

Thanks for the information. I saw in an ad in fine print that there was only 32 gig available to the user - have run into that on an older tablet or two. They should put that in the specs in my mind.

Yes they should because I would have either waited because at the time I bought it there was no 128 gig hard drive but I really like this tablet. If I want to keep documents on it I will get a micro sims card to hold the date or use a flash drive
