    Browser default zoom level

My IE browser opens at 150% zoom after I change it to 125%. How to make the 125% setting stay put?

    Hello Shark,

If this is for Internet Explorer, then you should be able to set the zoom level to 125% using a method in the tutorial below, and make sure that you have the Reset zoom level for new windows and tabs box unchecked (step 7C).
    Hope this helps,
    Shawn

If you are using the IE 10 Metro version, Brink also has a tutorial for that as well:

Before an hour or two passes, it does open in 125% like it's supposed to.

Even with the box unchecked in accessibility in internet options, it still reverts to 150% after being closed for more than a couple hours.

When I open the charm thingy on the right of my screen, (desktop regular monitor, NOT a touchscreen) I do not have the IE options like in the screenshot attached by JustaTest. I don't know what the difference between Metro and non-metro is. Isn't Metro just another word for the big tiles?Click image for larger version

Hi shark557, the difference between metro and non-metro (relative to IE 10) is where do you launch IE10 from? So, if you launch it from your desktop, you are using the desktop version. If you launch it from the Start (metro screen) by clicking on the tile, you are using the metro version. Both of Brink's tutorial have been tested and work flawlessly so please read carefully. However, looking at your screenshot, I think you need to launch IE 10 Metro first, then go to the settings charm on the right and the options you are looking for should be visible.

Aha! Brilliant...is it just me or is it not obvious that there are two different versions of the same program on the same OS...and there are...aw geez I give up.
Thanks for the heads up on this, JustaTest.
(This time it opened at 100% without me doing anything to it) Maybe it's become self-cognizant, and actually developed the personality of a prankster?

It was not obvious for me either (initially). So, if Brink's tutorials have helped you solve your issue, please consider marking this thread as solved and you might also want to consider giving Brink a "thumbs up" for his stellar efforts in creating those two tutorials.

    Cheers
