Solved Disable Flash in IE10

When I disable Flash through "Manage Add-ons" I find that I can still play some YouTube videos (I assume using html5) but when the video ends my screen goes blank for a second and then the computer goes to the login screen. When I log back in all the applications that were open are no longer open. Is there any way to disable Flash in IE10 and not have this behavior?

If security is your concern, uninstall the latest Adobe Flash in Add/remove programs and try managing the default version of Flash via Manage Add-Ons. If no difference, try to disable Flash via a Group Policy edit as demonstrated here:

Uninstall it.

Disabling through grpedit.msc has the same effect as through Manage Add ons. But what I did find is that if I go into Manage Add ons and double click on Flash, I can select "Remove All Sites" and this seems to effectively disable the use of Flash.

I don't believe you can uninstall. Flash is pretty well integrated into IE10.

Is there any chance that Flash installation was into another browser besides IE? On both of my Win 8 computers Flash does not show up in Programs and Features.

Flash is a third party addon:

Is it in Control Panel at all ?

Yes, same as in your pic.

And shows up as 3rd party add on as in your previous pic.

I don't think you can uninstall Adobe Flash player in IE10 as it's a built in feature, on the other hand, Adobe Flash player Plugin is used by other browsers and can be uninstalled.

I found this:

IE 10 crashes all the time.
I don't like or use it.
Opera is good.

Maybe using software rendering instead of GPU would help ?

Using software rendering seems to have fixed the problem. Thanks for the suggestion.
