I cannot use Opera because I can't get it 'verified' through my mobile/cell phone. Can somebody suggest a good email program that will open on the Desktop so that I can send attachments from my Desktop. Thanks!

Your ISP should have set up an email account on their server when you signed up for their service.
They usually do as part of your service. :)

Thanks a lot guys. That gives me a lot to start with, & David, my ISP set up an acct. for me on the Mail Start screen. I also have Gmail on the Start screen. I need something like Opera that can be used on the Desktop & allow me to send primarily photo attachments. Can I have Gmail on the Start screen & another Gmail acct. on the Desktop? I want to still have my two main email accts. on the Start screen 'Mail'. I must admit I don't quite understand how the 'Set as Default' facility works, I know this must sound dumb, but there you are!

The new version of Opera has removed its email.
You need to add it seperatly now.

Download Opera Mail - Opera Software

You can have all the email services you want.
One will be default though.

In control panel choose what program you want as default. :)

I clicked on your Opera link David but it keeps taking me to the same email service I already have with them so apparently I have the latest download, & it still won't let me send emails, because when I try to verify & provide my mobile/cell number to receive a SMS message with the verification number I never get an answer.

I don't know how to help further with this. :(

Have you tried contacting your ISP for help.
They usually like to help because they want to have happy customers & the cash flowing.

Well guys, I finally have something that works & it was from your advice. I didn't have any luck with downloading Thunderbird. But I then downloaded 'Incredimail' on my Desktop. It allowed me to keep my existing Gmail email address & opens on the Desktop. I composed an email & selected a photo for an attachment & it allowed me to select from 'My Pictures' folder on the Desktop which is what I have been looking for all along & it's a very personal type of system which allows the selection of several options. I especially liked the On/Off for typing sounds when composing an email & selected a personal picture to adorn each email. Thank you very much again guys. Much appreciated!
