    Vertical Lines

Over the years a friend of mine sends mail with vertical lines down the left had side of the page. When I had XP that was fine as I knew how to remove them before sending the mail on if needed.
Now I'm with Widows 8 I don't have a clue. Is there any one out there who can help please. arram

arram, what are you using for email? You could just copy the text instead of forwarding the whole email.

    Hello Dude.
Thanks for your reply, sorry about that forgot to mention I'm using Outlook 2007.
I realise I could just copy and paste but I just know there is a way to get rid of those line some how or other. arram.

    arram,

    Try this

I found a solution that seems to work (I'm using Outlook 2007). Say you got an email and you hit reply. Looking at your reply email with that blue indent line click on the "options" pull down menu and then change the format to "Rich Text". Enter your reply in the body of the email and select your reply line or paragraph and then ctrl-Q. The blue line for that paragraph or email is gone. I tested this by sending the email back to myself and it seems to work.
If the format is html it won't work... although ctrl-Q seems to remove the blue indent line when I send the email back to myself the line comes back. But in Rich Text format the solution sticks...
    Hope this helps.

arram, if you still have one of the emails saved, try to forward it to yourself to see if it works.

Unfortunatley I don"t have one, but the person concerned is a regular corespondent so I assume it won't be long before one arrives.
Thanks for your help, appreciate it. arram.
