2-step verification killed email on my Win 8 tablet

I have as ASUS VivoTab Smart Windows 8 tablet that I set up using my Windows Live account. I have just enabled 2-step verification for my Windows account. The first time I logged in after this I got an SMS to verify login on the tablet. I entered the code and ticked the box to say not to prompt me again on this machine.

I was able to get to the home screen fine, and the Store and most other apps worked fine, but when I open the metro email app it won't sync with the account. I went into the Settings, but there is no option to re-enter a password (it uses the login password) or put in any application-specific password.

Anyone know how I can get the mail account syncing again?
