Metro IE needs improvement

The one thing I hate about Windows 8 is they force you to switch back and forth between regular IE and metro IE. If I'm playing a youtube video in Metro IE and I want to go back to the start menu, the music stops playing. SO I have to then switch to regular IE for that. Why can't they allow this in Metro IE? Makes no sense! Their should only be one IE that does everyone. Having two just confuses newbies and it a hassle for everyone! What do you guys think?

I think it's by design. If you leave the app screen, the app will enter "suspend" mode and only live tiles will be active if the app supports it. Since Metro IE is an app, whenever you leave the app screen, it enters the suspend mode thus making the video and music stop playing.

One of the things I don't care for in IE10 is having the address bar at the bottom. I personally like it at the top like every other major browser.

i actually like the address bar at the bottom. it's less of a reach when using touch.

what I do wish for is to have tabs without having to swipe. my fingers are not so thick that visible tabs wouldn't work.

Modern Firefox is progressing nicely in terms of the look. I'm just waiting for the touch functionality to catch up to the look.
