Does IE Have It's Version of Feedly or a Real Speed Dial?

I really like what Feedly does but want to use IE but haven't found it's equivalent.

I primarily use Chrome only because IE doesn't have Speed Dial which I use all of the time...and no, the exceedingly crappy IE "Most Popular Sites" is not even close to being the same.

Any hope here for IE or is MS going to keep us using Chrome?

Although slightly different to Feedly/Google Reader, Internet Explorer has RSS feeds built in. You can find more info in the following tutorial:
RSS Feed - Subscribe or Unsubscribe - Windows 7 Help Forums

Depending on how you have IE setup, you may find that the RSS feed icon is hidden. Personally, I think Microsoft should make it visible in the address bar all the time, but as they don't you may need to right click on the blank area at the top of the Internet Explorer window, and tick 'Command Bar' to make it visible. You can untick 'Command Bar' again afterwards to hide it again.

As an example, here's the main Eight Forums RSS feed:

As for Speed Dial, I've just had a look and I guess Favourites is the closest. Speed Dial looks quite cool though and I've often wondered why Microsoft never introduced something like Speed Dial to make it easy for people to have their own customisable browser start/home page that was stored locally. Although, if it's just a homepage with a Google Search box and a few shortcuts to your main websites that you want, you could always download the attached txt file below, open it in Notepad, save it as something like start.html and then make it your browser homepage. To change the links/text to your own, edit them directly in Notepad and then resave it.

    Start.txt

This is what it will look like:

This is what they should have done. Instead of the RSS icon being hidden in the Command Bar, they could have easily put an RSS icon on the main interface to show when the web page (or tab) being viewed has RSS feeds available.

In answer to you're speed dial question, I have discovered "Kadaza" (Kadaza - UK Internet Homepage). Its a really useful and highly customisable start page..............Try it!

Looks better than anything IE has to offer but not as good as Speed Dial 2. With SD2 in Chrome, just clicking on a new tab brings it up. I'm not seeing how this works with Kadaza....only as a Homepage?? This also appears to be more of an RSS reader than what SD2 is. I use Netvibes as an RSS feeder as I love the look it (much more sophisticated & developed) and the customization options. Not only that, I probably have 75+ customized saved sites in SD2 and I'm not about to redo all them just to have something for IE. It's much easier and better anyway just to continue using Chrome. Come on MS, just make/allow a SD2 for IE! What is so damned difficult about that!!! If you want to make IE competitive you have to make it competitive and not just "pretty close".

Yeah, I use netvibes for my "Myway" account, but it can be a bit fussy and often has to be re-logged in. Anyway I second you, come on MS, its 2014 there are probably school kids out there who could program it for you!

Odd...I've had my Netvibes account for 5 years and have never had to log in. Maybe there's an issue with it and MyWay. It is my home page and I use it all of the time...followed by Speed Dial 2. The only things I don't like about it are there are a number of feeds that can't be added and their mobile program is quite expensive with many nice features. Kinda like having a Ferrari to go grocery shopping.

I had not heard of MyWay before. How does this differ fundamentally from Netvibes?
