I just thought this is worth sharing with those who haven't noticed. You can now change your primary Hotmail/Outlook e-mail name or even change your Hotmail to an Outlook alias.

You can find it in Settings, Account details (password, addresses, time zone) under Managing your account.

I'm a minimalist person and I changed my primary Hotmail account to the Outlook alias (sounds better) and viola, no more spam mail. I feel clean! :p

Anyway, remember to update your e-mail with accounts tied to your e-mail address if you want to have an Outlook alias.

Edit: Now that I notice it, my thread name is not very good...

Just wondering do you know if you can change your primary account to an outlook.com account and then have you old account such as @hotmail.com as a second alasis so i can still get email to my account even if i change to outlook.com alasis.

I know you can make outlook.com as a secondary alasis but was wondering if i could do reverse?? :p
