No 'send to mail recipient' button

I'm a non-techie oldie bravely launched into Windows 8 but upset to find there is no button I can find above web pages to send a link or a page to a mail recipient.

I found this very useful in XP - is there some fix please? This is very important for me. Thanks muchly!

I just right click somewhere on the page & click on E-mail with Windows Live but yours could say Outlook or whatever your mail program is.

Hello skysurfer, and welcome to Eight Forums.

In addition, you could also turn on the Command Bar in IE10 (desktop mode), then add the "Send page by e-mail..." and "Send link by e-mail..." buttons to the command bar.

    Hope this helps,

Hi PC Rat, When I right click that option isn't on my list. How do I put it there?
Brink - Shawn - sounds like exactly what I want but I don't know how to get there and turn on the command bar.
Could you tell me stroke by stroke what exactly I do to get there.
    I'm not sure whether I have IE10
Thanks so much both of you for trying to help me.
At least now I know there is a solution if I can get there!

Hi Shawn, I have now found the command bar as you suggest and now have a Page button! But when I click on it the 'send link by email' button is greyed out.
I can't work out how to get to the second window you pictured which activates the 'send link' button.....

What email client program do you have installed and set as your default program?

The tutorial below can show you more on how to get to the "Customize Toolbar" dialog to add the "Send page by e-mail..." and "Send link by e-mail..." buttons to the command bar.

Thanks for the above Brink. I have Windows Live Mail installed if that's what you mean.

Is the Command Bar at the top with a home house symbol, a printer symbol, page, safety and tools?
If so and I follow the tutorial and right click on an empty area, I don't have a 'customise' option. I have 'menu bar'; favorites bar;command bar; status bar, lock the toolbars and 'show tabs on a separate row'.
The favourite bar, command bar abd lock the toolbars options are the ones checked/ticked.

    Yep, that's the one.

You would want to right click on (red dot in screenshot below) an empty area just to the right on the command bar itself to see the "Customize" option.

It's still not there! I have tried to send a screen shot but when I go to the icon where it says Insert Image and click it - everything goes grey and I have no idea what to do next. I hate computers!
Thanks for trying to help - I think I'll have to give up and take up knitting!
I have the guy who fixed up the compie coming tomorrow - maybe he can help.
But thank you kindly for trying so hard.

Nar, we'll get there. See if this may help with uploading and attaching a screenshot.
