Internet help

Hi everyone, I have just recently bought a brand new laptop which has Windows 8 installed. No Internet works for me, no web pages it might connect for a few seconds and then disconnects. Every other laptop in the house works fine on the Internet so it has to be to do with the laptop. Internet won't work on desktop or on the tile part, frustrating as it is a brand new laptop. Please can someone advise what the problem might be? Thanks

Where did you purchase it? You might want to bring/ send it back
Make sure there is no button or switch to push on the front,back or sides of the laptop to turn on wifi
Does it see your router? Or anyone else's router? If yes at least the wireless is working

If you r saying it does connect to wifi and drops and all the other computers are fine. Then there could be something wrong with the wifi card. If I was you I would bring it back to the store you bought it in. And explain and show them the problem just because it is brand new does not mean something put in went bad. My brand new dell laptop was having a problem charging the battery and it was 3 wks old. Dell installed a new motherboard and now it works fine
