    Outlook.com missing

    Hello
As you can see by the attachment Outlook.com is missing so I cannot make it my email client.
I downloaded Win Essentials to use Windows Live Mail as the email client for now.
I use Outlook.com as my Hotmail account. Why is Outlook.com not in this list?
Could it be that I have to use a MS account and synchronize my mail or something like that?
    Thank you
    Peter

P.S. I tried to upload the default program page but it said it was an invalid file, sorry.
Please see; Control panel>Default programs and click the top which displays the programs you can make default.
Outlook.com is missing -how do I get it in the list?

No attachment visible in your post. Outlook.com is a website, not an email client.

I'm not sure I understand your problem, but let's see if this helps...

Outlook.com is not a program, it is a email service hosted by Microsoft.

Using Windows Live Mail, your need to setup an account for the Outlook.com email service. You can also make accounts for your other email addresses.

    Outlook.com

    What is Outlook?

What is the difference between the Outlook desktop application and the Outlook.com email service?

The Outlook desktop application—for PCs and Macs—is the world’s most popular application for reading email, managing a calendar, and connecting to people. The Outlook desktop application works with both your personal email and your work email.
Outlook.com is a preview of a modern cloud email that provides free email for personal use. You can use Outlook.com with the Outlook desktop application, via the web at http://outlook.com, or via other email apps that support Exchange ActiveSync or POP3.

**First, I said in my post that I could not upload an attachment as it said it was an invalid file.

I was referring to the default program page in Win 8 where you can make a program your default.
My problem is that I am trying to create an email client using Outlook.com. I read that it can be done by going to that page and doing so. I do not see it listed on that page.
Am I to use the Windows live mail to set up Outlook.com as the client?
Both of them are currently working for me. WLM is my email client only because a I cannot make Outlook.com the client. I have an Outlook.com account which I regularly use - it was formerly my Hotmail account.
They are gradually moving to the cloud and went from @Hotmail.com to @Live.com(which I have) to @MS.com, coming.
How do I get Outlook.com on the default page so I can make it my email client. I read it was supposed to be possible and preferable?
