remember that the settings is always in the charm bar. it is contextual. so if the email app is open, the settings will be for the email app. if the sports app is up, the settings will be for the sports app. if the start screen is up, the settings will be for the start screen.

All these issues with the Mail app and all these back-and-forth threads that involve many people's effort is merely a waste of time because of a product that does not work.

And during searching for an answer I came across the official reply from a Microsoft custom service that asks the problem reporter to provide blah blah info such as PC model or anti-virus software or what color of underwear the customer wears today. I am certain that in the end there will be no valid solution at all.

I think it is time for everyone to realize what Microsoft products really are.

I always consider it a shame on all of us that MS has sold so many consumer products and has survived till this day.

They survived because they provide one of the better solutions around, and in many cases, the only solution. As an owner of a company, we'd be in a world of hurt if we had to rely on Apple or Google products/ecosystem. That may change in the future, but it's not here yet.

Thanks for the reply. I could be too extreme and you may be right.
