I'm sure there's a checkbox to enable when mail arrives --I have mine set to a Barking Dog !!! --years ago as a student I used to deliver Xmas mail as a Xmas holiday job - temporary postmen were common in those days (pre email, mobile phones and even internet so "snail mail" was still the prime method of communication). However I never forgot some house as you stuck the packet of letters through the letterbox the packet would be ripped out of your hand while at the same time you could hear a growling dog chewing the post. - You couldn't do like in the US just put the mail in a mailbox at the gate -- these letterboxes were on people's front doors.

Also in the SOUND icon in the control panel you have to choose what sound you want at event Mail Notification.

Scr shots enc note mine is outlook 2010 but it's the same in outlook 2007.

    Cheers
