auto-refresh

I am having a problem with my NEW gatewya notebook and windows 8. My browser does not auto-refresh. A guy from customer service said it was a normal problem? But they wont fix it. They tried to charge me 70 dollars. Like I said, it is new. Got it last Tuesday. Tried to download JAVA, but apparently it is not made for windows 8. Any help will be appreciated

What do you mean by auto-refresh?

If you're using Internet Explorer, go to Internet Options > Security > Internet Zone > Custom Level, is 'Allow META REFRESH' set to enable?

Idk if it is or not. I will check when I get home. Here is an example of my problem: I use forums a lot. When I leave a post, click off, and go back in after anothe rposter posted something, it is the exact same way I left it. I have to manually refresh it
