IE Issues

Is anyone having problems with IE in Windows 8? I have to use other browsers cause anytime I use IE something seems to be continuously running in the background. Going to any site to type in information is a joke. I have to type one letter or number at a time as it seems to register on the site so slow. I checked task manager and only IE is running. When using any other browser none of these issues occur. I would never use IE but some school sites and government sites require IE as their browser to enter info. Any clues?

I got fed up with IE 10 & started using Chrome.
Very few problems since.

Myself, I use FF as I found the IE 10 is strickly a 64 bit browser, which has problems with webpages not loading correctly or not loading at all. I found this to be the same in windows 7 with IE 9. In windows 7, if I continued to use IE 9, I used the 32 bit version. But I rely on FF as my main browser of choice.

Thanks for the suggestion, but nothing was solved. Just typing this reply was a chore. Everything is in slow motion. I typed this whole line and sat and waited for it to catch up. Easy 15 to 20 seconds behind my typing. No way I can use this.

Then you should try "ipconfig /flushdns" without the quotes in cmd running as admin.

Never mind. I tried it and nothing has changed. Every key stroke hesitates. Even scrolling the bar on the right side hesitates. I read on another site that because it is 64 bit there are some issues. However it ran perfect on Windows 7 for me. Didn't use it much then either but at least it worked fine when I did.

Never mind. I tried it and nothing has changed. Every key stroke hesitates. Even scrolling the bar on the right side hesitates. I read on another site that because it is 64 bit there are some issues. However it ran perfect on Windows 7 for me. Didn't use it much then either but at least it worked fine when I did.

In windows 7 the default IE 9 browser was a 32 bit browser. In the programs list (in 7) there are icon's for both 32 and 64 bit IE 9.

In windows 7 the default IE 9 browser was a 32 bit browser. In the programs list (in 7) there are icon's for both 32 and 64 bit IE 9.

Too bad there isn't one for Win 8. Maybe the issue is due to being 64 bit. So they really didn't test IE with Win 8? Amazing but why am I surprised.

It's not so much a Windows 8 issue, rather it's a web browser and website design choice because most websites use code for the 32 bit browser. Although more and more sites are going to the 64 bit format, it's just going to take some time.

Thanks, Will wait to see if it improves in the future. Luckily I don't use it much, but want it to work properly when I need it.
