Solved Having issues with Google Chrome

Hello,

So i am having some issues and im hoping you can assist. I am wanting to open Google Chrome..or any internet browser for that matter...in desktop mode. Im not 100% sure what desktop mode means, but im assuming it means pre- windows 8. Right now weather i click on google chrome on the desktop, or the tile it opens it up in full screen. This is super frustrating as it prevents me from easily multi tasking while surfing the web. I have looked and put in a few registry codes..and nothing seems to work. It always opens in full screen and i have to exit out of it in order to access the desktop again.

Im aware i can swipe my finger from the left to drop the desktop onto the page. Thats not what im trying to do. Im trying to have windows 8's desktop be just that...a desktop like windows 7. Im more or less just wanting to use the tiles in windows 8 occasionally.

Nevermind, i went with Firefox and i dont have the issue anymore. So.....ill just stay away from chrome.

Hello mountaindewbass, and welcome to Eight Forums.

In Windows 8, there's the new Windows 8 UI (Metro) mode and desktop mode available for some browsers like IE10 and Chrome. If you open them from their Metro tile on the Start screen, then they'll open in the Metro mode. If you open them from the desktop, then of course they'll open in desktop mode.
