    Firefox

The main firefox site tells us that the latest ver, 12, is available for download but does not name Win 8 as a user. Another site, I will not name tells us that ver 18 of firefox is available for free download!

Who is telling porky pies and how come its taking firefox so long to acclimatise for Win 8?

I'm running it on my 64 bit system with no problems. I think IE 9 and 10 are the only 64 bit browsers out there, although IE 9 has both 32 and 64 bit versions.

I am on my laptop now, in work, running on Chrome. Not necessarily through choice, I was always a FF fan, but it was taking too long to close down, stopping me from doing other things, so I binned it. I never used 9 or 10 IE because they abandoned the old user friendly interface, and no way was I going to start learning all over again.

According to a download site I am currently in, FF 18 is suitable for all windows, laptop is Win 7, so here goes ...................

New firefox ver 32 in Browsers & Mail
Just installed the new FF version 32 and did an extensive close open close open etc to see if it still had the old problem of mine, when closed it would not reopen because it said FF was still open, although closed.
